After college, Mark and his dad continued selling the agency management system while
Mark developed QuickQuote, a comparative auto rater. In those early days, Mark would
code during the day and make copies of floppy disks at night. Frequently, he would
have to deliver hundreds of floppy disks to the post office at 3:00am to get the
rating updates to the agents on time.
Later, both QuickQuote and AutoFile were transitioned from DOS to Windows, and,
more advanced features were added. AutoFile was renamed QuickFile, adding QuickBooks
integration and document scanning, while QuickQuote added bridging and binding.
