In early 2013, we released version 1 of QQCatalyst®, the revolutionary cloud-based agency management system for independent insurance agencies looking to move into the future. In developing QQCatalyst, our vision was to create not just a powerful and easy-to-use agency management system, but also to build a product ecosystem. This would provide agencies with a broad selection of value-added apps that would work with QQCatalyst, as well as integrations with other software they use. Our vision was that the agency management system would become the core of agents’ overall technology strategy, and not just an AMS.
And so, we opened QQCatalyst up to Independent Software Vendors, or ISVs, through a powerful Application Programming Interface, or API.
Our QQCatalyst API has been a big hit with ISVs serving the insurance industry. Already, several amazing applications integrate with Catalyst and are available for licensing from our partners. This week, we launched QQCatalyst Marketplace to showcase these apps.
